Excavation for a new Middle School for Rockwall ISD over a 40 acre site. The new 140,000sf school building was excavated for a structural slab over carton forms and a crawl space. The surrounding flatwork and courtyards were moisture conditioned and capped with 2’ of recycled flex base. The track, field and sport court subgrades were also moisture conditioned and capped with 2’ of flex base. This site required nearly 100,000cy of excavation, 30,000cy of haul off, 75,000cy of moisture conditioning, 35,000 tons of flex base and 350 tons of lime stabilization.
